Stefano Perrotta studied organ at the Umberto Giordano Conservatory of Foggia under the guidance of Francesco Di Lernia, graduating with highest honours (summa cum laude and special mention). He subsequently pursued advanced studies at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz in Germany with Gerhard Gnann. He has performed extensively throughout Italy and abroad, appearing at numerous internationally renowned festivals and concert series. In 2023 he was awarded the prestigious Junge Talente prize, recognizing him among the twelve most outstanding young musicians active in Germany. As part of the award, he performed on the historic Hildebrandt organ of the Wenzelskirche in Naumburg, the instrument inaugurated by Johann Sebastian Bach. Alongside his solo career, Perrotta is an experienced continuo player, collaborating regularly with distinguished soloists, ensembles and period orchestras, including the Due Voci Trio, the Orchestra Mediterranea, and several German orchestras. He is the recipient of numerous awards at international organ competitions, including First Prize at the Gli Organi Storici del Basso Friuli International Organ Competition and Second Prize at the Feith International Organ Competition (Germany). His recordings have been released by Arcana (Sixteen Seasons), Doppio Movimento (Organi Storici a San Severo), and on the compilation Mainz Klangfacetten. He is currently a member of the faculty at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Naples and serves as Artistic Coordinator of the ArtiCarmine arts and culture festival in San Severo.
